Riedebacker

Builder: Klaas

Description: Great kit! Made it a challenge because I wanted a 12 string. It was my first self-built guitar, obviously I have some skills. I’m very happy with my 350/12, because I think that’s what it is!!

Wow!! Gorgeous job! The neck looks amazing. How does it play and how hard was it for you to transform it into this beautiful instrument?

Thanks! It plays fantastic. I stringed it with 0.10 and dropped the tuning half a step.
Obviously i had some skills I didn’t know : ). So….it took a lot of time, but it’s beatiful, as you said. Recently i veneered the top with a piece of flamed maple. Now it’s perfect!

    Really beautiful job!
I was also wondering what other adjustments you had to make to turn it into a 12 string. for example, did you replace the neck, or modify the one that came with the kit.

Very nice job! Where did you find those pickups? Are they the same size as the routing in the Fretwire kit or did you have to modify? Thanks.
