Nice chunky neck

These necks are well made. I had to dress the frets a bit, but it is an unfinished neck. They did a nice job with the nut as well. This is the third neck that I bought from Fret Wire (2 Teles and the one Strat). I love the chunkiness of these necks. My guess is that they are "Chunky C or D. I have zero complaints about the necks...My only suggestion is to describe the shape of the necks better. That is a critical element to selecting

Hi Mike, thank you for your review we are happy to help. We look forward to your next business with us.

What's the point?

This is in response to the 1st reviewer of the reverse headstock neck. What was the point of your review? You started it off by trashing Ebay which is not a feat to do. You say how thankful you are that Fretwire saved you and how cool the neck is etc. Then you nit pick every detail like an expert, compare it to your mim piece of junk Fender while insulting Fretwire again regarding the truss rod. Then end it by kissing their butt after pointing out all the bad they did on the awesome neck you got.

Ok, that helped me with my decision and should help many other's. Plus I hope you don't need to return it because now you can't. You used your neck building tenure at chinaguitars.ch to fix the mistakes Fretwire made with the endless year's of experience. Are you relating Fretwire to necks yet? I'm pretty sure yours was better before you had at it. Although the misalignment is really getting to you so you should probably get out your pencil and paper so you can hold it against your mim Fender headstock and scribble over the holes really fast so you'll have a perfect template....

Good stuff from the Fretwire

I have built a handful of guitar kits from the Fretwire, 2 of which were Strats, and 1 Jazzmaster, and all the Fender style kits are well done. The necks are good. Usually all they need before finishing the kit is the frets need a little dressing. Otherwise, I usually sand the neck down to faster, thinner size like a 60s Gibson style neck (to my preference). Other than that, the necks are well done.

Hi Ron, thank you for your nice words! We look forward to your next purchase! If you have any questions please contact us via email.
