Description: This build was interesting as what I started with was not what I ended up with.. I always wanted to try a 12 string LP build. The original flame maple vaneer had some abrasions I didn 't like so I sanded it off along with the maple top. Then went to my local specialty wood store and had them cut a book matched zebrawood top, which I glued, routed, and contoured to give a nice carved top feel. Dark walnut stained back, tung oiled top with satin clear, back of neck is tung oiled and feels nice and smooth. I levelled, crowned, and polished the frets so it plays really nice with no fret buzz. Semour Duncan hot rodded humbucker set, with push push volume pots wired for coil splitting, switchcraft PUP selector switch and input jack, CTS tone pots, orange drop caps. Anyone ever says you can 't play leads on a 12 string has never played one like this. I called her Tank because that zebrawood top makes her heavy so it 's.. well.. it 's a tank. Sounds amazing too!
