Description: I'm Based in London Uk and my partner surprised me just after Xmas 2016 when the kit arrived in the post.. So my latest project was to be this violin bass kit.. Completely sanded and prepared the neck and body -used dye building it up from lighter to darker and sprayed with clear nitrocellulose lacquer .quite happy with the finish and the quality of this kit .nice wood to work with easy and to get a good unique finish.. i found some 60's made in japan hofner copy pickups and control panel to replace the one's that came with the kit.. I used the bridge and tail piece what it came with -which are good quality anyway.. replaced the nut with a handmade bone one. Fitted flat wound roto sound jazz strings .. Plays great with a good low action. Very pleased with the kit and build quality .Turned out as i wanted it to look like a vintage 60-70s japanese copy I think i have achieved that.
